HCG Diet Food Pyramid

by Dr. Dennis Clark

Yes, the HCG diet has a specific food pyramid. The best description that I have found summarizes it very nicely. It includes pointers on how to vary the diet and still lose weight.

Eating healthy today is not as easy as it might seem and the food pyramid can be confusing for some. Combine the need to learn about the food pyramid and how the HCG diet plan works, and a dieter might want to run for the hills! Nevertheless, understanding the food pyramid is essential to your HCG weight loss success. Common sense food selections simply are not enough. Read more here.

I’ve been visiting family and doing some volunteer work in California for the past two weeks. Thanks for dropping by to check out my updates. More to come, so be sure to subscribe to my newsletter and get your free reports to keep track of what I have to say about succeeding on the HCG diet.

All the best,

HCG Diet – New Perspectives

by Dr. Dennis Clark

It is just plain silly that the HCG diet can be remotely considered as controversial. This hormone-directed diet protocol was established more than 50 years ago. It continues to increase in popularity because of its effectiveness. The HCG hormone targets the reduction of abnormal fat, which is not possible by diet alone or by any combination of diet and exercise. Here are some new perspectives.

HCG Diet Plan

Science icon
Image via Wikipedia

The original plan was created by a British medical doctor, Dr. A.T.W. Simeons, in his clinic at the Salvator Mutidi International Hospital in Rome in the 1950s. His book, Pounds and Inches, describes his discovery and experience with the protocol. He also outlines the protocol in sufficient detail for any reader to follow it without difficulty. This book is freely available on many websites.

The purpose of this article is to provide some updated information on the HCG diet and to puncture at least a few fallacies that have arisen regarding it.

Public Perception vs Scientific Research

As you can expect, media coverage of Dr. Simeons’ protocol has been mixed. This is to be expected because of yellow journalism, not necessarily because of the merits of the protocol itself. For this reason, using HCG for weight loss has been called controversial. This controversy has been made up out of thin air.

Most of the scientific research evaluating HCG for weight loss was published in the 1960s and 1970s. Some medical researchers confirmed Dr. Simeons’ original results in controlled clinical experiments. Other medical researchers failed to confirm these results, even when following the same experimental design. If anything, this would be a legitimate source of controversy. However, media coverage has never mentioned this body of research.

500 Calories Per Day Does Not Lead To Starvation

People from all walks of life, health professionals and the public alike, rightly observe that a 500 calorie per day diet alone would be too little food for normal metabolism. What they fail to note is that the HCG hormone changes metabolism to make up for the calorie restrictions of the Simeons protocol. This means that abnormal fat becomes a source of calories for daily living.

The statement above means that you can live off of your own fat when you are using the prescribed dosages of HCG and eating the prescribed foods in the right amounts. Explaining how the protocol works in this statement comes across to some people as pure gibberish, so all they can dwell on is the fear of living on only 500 calories per day. It doesn’t seem to matter that another 2000 calories can come from their own fat.

New Perspective On How HCG Works

Dr. Simeons astutely pointed out that HCG influences fat metabolism by signaling the hypothalamus of the brain. He was guessing that this protein hormone fit into hormone receptors of some kind that were already in the brain. The exciting aspect of his guesswork is that, in 1994, a new protein hormone was discovered to influence fat metabolism by signaling the hypothalamus, too. This hormone, called leptin, is now widely known as the master fat hormone.

Current research on laboratory animals is starting to show how HCG and leptin might interact by signaling the same receptor sites in the hypothalamus. Research on this interaction is too new to show how this works. However, HCG and leptin clearly influence one another. Furthermore, the influence of leptin on insulin also leads to an indirect response between insulin and HCG. One property that all of these protein hormones share is that overexposure to each one leads to resistance. Leptin resistance leads to storage of too much fat. Insulin resistance leads to abnormal blood sugar metabolism (and fat storage) and eventually to diabetes. HCG resistance simply stops this hormone from working completely.

Unusual Side Benefits

As weight loss proceeds on the HCG diet, skin seems to shrink up, too. The benefit is that, unlike all other weight loss diets and even weight loss surgeries, skin does not get loose and saggy while you lose weight.

Some people believe that a great benefit of HCG is that it works regardless of whether they exercise. The entire protocol is effective whether you sit on the couch the whole time or run 10 miles per day, and at the same level of effectiveness either way.

Perspective of the FDA

The FDA is not a government agency that is concerned with helping us be healthy. It is the enforcement arm of the pharmaceutical industry. The position of the FDA on HCG for weight loss is irrelevant to anything useful for the public. In fact, I predict that the FDA will ban the use of this hormone for losing weight as soon as it gets enough attention to threaten the drug industry.

Fake Scary Stuff About HCG

HCG was first called the pregnancy hormone because pregnant women produce high levels of it during the first trimester. One subunit of this complex protein is also produced by women during menstruation. Comments that imply some kind of feminization of men upon taking HCG are plain silly. Quite the contrary, since bodybuilders often use HCG to restore low testosterone levels after taking an anabolic steroid series.

HCG is not just a hormone that is produced only by women. Men have the genetic machinery to produce it, too. One of the subunits shows up in measurable quantities as a product of certain kinds of cancer. It is used clinically as a marker for testicular cancer. Keep this cause and effect straight. Testicular cancer causes a positive test for HCG, not the other way around. Comments on the Internet that invoke the fear of HCG causing cancer get this cause and effect backwards.

Maintaining Long Term Weight Loss – Really?

No. Weight loss on this protocol does not grant carte blanche to eat poorly without consequences. Ice cream and cookies will make you fat, regardless of whether you lose weight on this protocol or any other kind of diet. Claims about keeping off fat forever are true only when dieters adopt appropriate lifestyle changes that support healthy weight management. It is only logical. If you do things that made you fat in the first place, then those same things will make you fat again.

Real Medical Research on the HCG Weight Loss Diet

by Dr. Dennis Clark

The Original Research by Dr. A.T.W. Simeons

The research by Dr. Simeons was published in 1954 in his book, ‘Pounds and Inches’, which is widely available at no cost on many websites. He designed his protocol to be very precise regarding the amount of HCG required for injection, for the number of calories and the types foods allowed, and for the optimal duration of the program. He also published a brief synopsis of his program in the British medical journal Lancet (vol. 2, pp. 946-947, 1954).

This weight loss program has attracted considerable attention from the medical community and from people who have undergone treatment. Its popularity is one reason why so many people, including medical doctors, have decided to offer opinions on whether it works. The success of HCG for weight loss has been so great that it has attracted negative attention from the FDA.

Before I go further, I want to note that the FDA is not an agency that serves human health. It is an agency that serves the financial interests of pharmaceutical companies. Negative attention from the FDA almost always means that the health benefits of the treatment in question might undermine drug profits. Indeed, seeing the statement that HCG is not approved by the FDA for weight loss is, in my opinion, support for the effectiveness of this protocol.

Medical Studies

The government’s PubMed database lists more than 18,000 journal articles on HCG, with less than a few dozen of these having anything to do with weight loss. Most of the research on this hormone involves fertility, pregnancy, and the detection of cancerous tumors. What I want to do is call your attention to just three studies as examples of the confusion that is rampant in the medical literature on HCG and weight loss.

1963 Study

This study was published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition (vol. 12, pp. 230-234, 1963), at the height of popularity of the HCG diet plan in the U.S. In my reading of this article, it looks to me as though the researchers behind this study, from the University of California, San Francisco, School of Medicine, followed the Simeons protocol to the letter. There was one exception: the consumption of a baked potato each day, which is not on Simeons’ list of allowed vegetables. The main result of the study was an average loss of 6.5 pounds in the HCG-treated group, compared with an average loss of 8.8 pounds in the untreated (control) group. The authors concluded that the hormone did not cause weight loss.

This study is remarkable for a couple reasons. One is that, in spite of following the Simeons protocol for 40 days, neither the treatment group nor the control group came close to the amount of weight loss that is expected. A starvation diet alone (i.e., 550 calories per day) should have caused more weight loss than reported. In fact, one subject on HCG even gained weight. The other reason that this study is remarkable is that the number of study subjects (i.e., 10 in the treatment group, 9 in the control group) and the variability of the results within each group provided insufficient statistical power to explain anything at all! Indeed, this study offered no comparative statistical analysis of weight loss. In other words, the results did not support any conclusions whatsoever.

Nevertheless, one or more factors are not obvious in this study. Generally when a study has such insignificant results, the subjects were not compliant – i.e., they did not follow the protocol very well. The researchers offered no comment on this possibility, so we will never know why both the treatment group and the control group underperformed.

1973 Study

This study was published 10 years later, also in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition (vol. 26, pp. 211-218, 1963). The researchers who conducted it, at the American Society of Bariatric Physicians Research Council, studied about twice as many subjects as the 1963 study above. The final result was an average loss of 19.96 pounds in the HCG group and 11.05 pounds in the control group. More importantly, the statistical analysis supported this difference as being significant. The conclusion of this study was that HCG did cause weight loss.

1995 Meta Analysis

Meta analysis refers to a comparison of multiple studies on the same topic. This meta analysis was published in the British Journal of Clinical Pharmacology (vol. 40, pp. 237-243, 1995) by researchers at Vrije University, Netherlands. They evaluated 16 studies and observed that most of them were of ‘poor methodological quality’ (meaning, bad science). Only one of the 12 articles of acceptable quality showed an effect on weight loss by HCG. The researchers concluded that ‘there is no scientific evidence that HCG is effective in the treatment of obesity’.

Meta analysis studies have become very popular in medicine because of the notion that a trend over multiple studies shows the truth. Unfortunately, the basic rules of statistics invalidate any such comparisons. Moreover, when even one study stands out against the majority, it is wrong to ignore it completely as these researchers have done. It would be much more valuable to figure out why some studies give contradictory results to one another.

This meta analysis also reveals what I call the dirty laundry of medical science – i.e., most research is so flawed that it is almost useless for saying anything at all with certainty. In fact, this is kind of a scary thought, isn’t it?

Take Home Lesson

Human subject research is the most difficult kind of study because of so many variables that are out of the control of the experimental design. Determining cause and effect is almost impossible. Nevertheless, we can see from some research that HCG can and does drive weight loss. My view is that studies that show this result are better in terms of sticking more closely to the Simeons protocol in the experimental design, then having the study subjects adhere closely to it.

What I conclude regarding HCG and weight loss is based on what I have seen for myself. This includes many, many people who have had the same results that Simeons documented based on his clinical experience with thousands of patients. I have also had the same results for myself. There is nothing like personal experience! The key to my experience, however, was monitoring my body fat composition. Weight loss is almost irrelevant by itself. My result was a reduction of 20 pounds AND of 6% body fat in less than 30 days. Reduction in body fat is supposed to be the main effect of HCG.

Medical researchers are apparently going to argue the merits of HCG and weight loss until the end of time, citing whichever research results support their arguments. As a scientist myself, I have no doubt whatsoever that Simeons was right and that my body changes occurred because of HCG.

One More Thing

Early studies on lab animals are now beginning to show that HCG interacts with the hormone leptin. Leptin is the new master fat hormone that has been known only since 1994. Like HCG, leptin also carries a signal to the hypothalamus. I predict that the more we find out about the interaction between these two hormones, the more we will understand how ingenious the Simeons protocol really is.

Top Ten Diets That Work- The 3 Critical Keys To Avoiding Diets That Don’t Work

by Dr. Dennis Clark

I recently completed months of research to compile a list of the top ten diets that work. I put together the list at the request of MANY personal training clients. In performing my research, I not only uncovered key aspects of successful diets, I also found shared characteristics of unsuccessful diets.

1) Starvation Is NEVER Successful

Never means NEVER!I discovered one diet, for example, that limited individuals to 500 calories a day. The diet was developed by an Italian doctor, and combines the 500 calorie diet with injections of HCG, which is a growth hormone found in young boys. Despite a lack of creditable evidence that the combination “aids” weight loss, the diet has been around for years.

Individuals do, in fact, lose weight rapidly on the diet. However, common sense tells us that ANYONE would lose weight on 500 calories a day!

H-E-L-L-O!

I discovered that individuals tend to feel tired and weak on the diet, and gaining back the lost weight is the general rule. Frequent periods of no weight loss,(plateaus), are common due to a profound metabolic slowdown. Plateaus were far less common in the top ten diets that work.

2) The Diet Has Little Variety

Diets that offer little variety can be boring and unsafe. If a diet focuses on one food group, for example, such as protein, it lacks essential vitamins, minerals and fiber. Each of these has an important role in an individual’s health and well being

The monotony of eating too much of one kind of food can make sticking to the diet long term, very difficult. Also, if an individual manages to lose some weight, the chances are great that the weight will return when they return to their previous eating preferences.

3) The Plan Has No “Exit” StrategyFor a weight loss program to be truly succesful. a maintenance plan must be included. The top ten diets that work, for example, all had a maintenance plan to hep individuals keep the weight off

Look, I know how frustrating it is to try diet after diet, give it your best shot, only to fail.
It STINKS!!
So I took it upon myself to research well over 100 different diets. I even tried a few myself! My research was conducted online with surveys, and offline with phone interviews of specialists in diet and nutrition. After months of meticulous research, I revealed my Top Ten Diets That Work!

Free Daily Diet Plans-Shed Those Unwanted Pounds Instantly!

by Dr. Dennis Clark

Free Daily Diet Plans are popping in your web search engines. You can hop from websites to websites that are promoting free daily diet plans that promise you to shed those unwanted pounds instantly. You might be trying their plan and then skip to another plan hoping to get better results. But this should not be the case. Diet plans should not be like what happens in laboratory experiments that when one does not work another trial must be taken. That can be dangerous for all we know because your health must be at risk. The safest way to apply any of these Free Daily Diet Plans is not to test all so that you will know which one works for you but to first educate yourself to things that you might run into.
Remember you are not the guinea pig in a lab. Take things with much precaution. What do I mean is that, first know what you need, know your body weight and find out your desired body weight to maintain. After that then it is time to plan for an appropriate calorie intake in order to achieve the desired weight. Losing weight is not only adapting the right diet plan but also the proper exercise must go with it too. Examine your body and find out which part needs shedding and toning. There are parts of our body that are just fine except of course if the condition needs real shaping. If that is the case, better consult your doctor first before moving on to diet plans. Your exercise regimen must be apt to what your body need, strenuous workout is probably not what is best for you but only a butt shaping or biceps toning. Long hours of physical exercise can only stress you out thus burn you out instead than burn your fats out. It will not achieve your purpose. Regular, we mean daily, but short exercise is wise than once or twice a week heavy physical exercise.
So what do you do after considering all these?
Then it is time to proceed to the Diet Plan, but before checking out and considering free daily diet plans, make the commitments and the discipline to carry on all that is in the diet plan, finalize your guidelines in following it, lest you will be bouncing back to your old body weight and will never move on to what you aim. Examples of this disciple and commitment guidelines is to eat what you can in moderation, never deprive yourself to food that you want to eat or else depravation most likely can cause you to drawback and tend to complement yourself which result to unwanted calorie intake. It is really a no-no to eat large meals, it is better to eat frequently 4 to 6 times than to starve yourself and overeat in a meal. Planning ahead and preparing your food can help you have a balance diet and prevent you from consuming more calories. I wish you the best of luck!

HCG Injections for Weight Loss: Will This Work for You?

by Dr. Dennis Clark

HCG injections for weight loss are something that many people struggling with weight issues think about. HCG shots and diet plan may not necessarily be right for every individual, but there are many individuals that find that HCG shots or oral HCG prove quite helpful in the battle with weight issues. These types of injections have been used for a correct amount of time under the right conditions can help an individual lose weight relatively quick. HCG injections for weight loss were first proposed by Dr. Albert T.W. Simeons, who discovered that this hormone could be used to assist dieters who want to lose weight by helping to curb one’s appetite tremendously. As early as the 1950s, Dr. Simeons had asserted that HCG shots prove beneficial in the dieting endeavor and that it could help an individual maintain a caloric intake of five hundred calories without the effects of deprivation and the sensations of hunger. HCG shots for weight loss are created from hormones that often naturally occur in pregnant women. The latter hormone was discovered to help in transforming unwanted abnormal fats into calories as well as simultaneously offering metabolic boosting properties to those that use it. HCG shots/diet plan is questioned by some since the FDA has not officially approved for the use of HCG in dieting endeavors. Nevertheless, under adequate doctor’s care and observation, those who choose to use HCG for weight loss can do so safely, since FDA has approved using HCG in significantly larger amount for fertility purpose. Individuals on the HCG diet are advised to inject 125 to no more than 200 IU per day, while Fertility clinics routinely inject 10,000 IU into women. There are rarely HCG Diet side effects reported. Few that take HCG injections for weight loss may experience certain side effects. When HCG shots are used for fertility reasons, some patients experience occasional headaches and pregnancy symptoms. However, the amount of HCG used for Weight Loss is much less than that for fertility purpose. Very few complications have been reported by dieters taking HCG diet injections, other than the possible side effects associated with injection itself such as swelling, slight pain and occasional fatigue. However, if side effects are noted while using the hormone, the individual should bring the effects to the attention of a physician immediately. It may be necessary for the doctor to offer another aid for dieting purposes. If allergies present themselves, the consumer is advised to seek out the assistance of a qualified medical professional and to cease using the HCG product. To learn more about HCG injections for weight loss, I recommend you checking out HCG Weight Loss, where HCG dieters can learn all the necessary information about HCG Weight Loss and share their experiences in losing weight. This website provides tons of resources and reviews about the revolutionary and effective HCG Weight Loss programs and reviews, along with a HCG Weight Loss forum for dieters to share their challenges and successful stories on weight management.

7 Things You Should Know About the HCG Weight Loss Program

by Dr. Dennis Clark

Dr. Simeons developed his HCG Diet Plan based on observations of abnormal fat loss while working in India using hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) supplements in adiposogenital dystrophic boys.

The boys treated showed improvement with their undescended testis, but they also lost the abnormal fat stored around the abdomen, hips and fat pad at the base of the neck.

With this knowledge, Dr. Simeons brought his plan back to Rome where he treated the rich and famous for nearly 30 years. Over that time, he perfected his program.

The hypothalamus is a part of the brain stem. It is the oldest part of the brain. It is in control of our involuntary functions, including fat storage and utilization.

The hypothalamus thinks we should still be hunter gatherers, so as our society changed and we started eating scheduled meals with much higher calorie intake, the hypothalamus hit its limit of calories it knew how to process.

To compensate for the extra calories, it pushed these aside into abnormal fat stores. These fat stores were then forgotten by the brain and inaccessible by the body to use as fuel.

This is why a person who is losing weight by cutting calories or through bariatric surgery can look gaunt and still has large hips or a bulging stomach.

Using hCG combined with a very low calorie diet tricks the hypothalamus into thinking you are in a starvation state so it then liberates calories from the abnormal fat stores for survival.

While going through the program you are not living on food intake. You are living on the calories liberated by hCG from your abnormal fat stores. This can be between 2000 to 4000 calories per day.

The diet associated with the program is very restrictive and should be followed closely. Dr. Dr. Simeons perfected this diet protocol over decades of research. Some minor modifications to the diet plan can be made to compensate for changes in food choices available in today’s supermarket.

This program is different from any out there because:

1) It resets the hypothalamus so you don?t gain the weight back after you have completed the program

2) It targets the abnormal fat (the fat you cannot lose with diet and exercise)

3) The skin retracts as you lose the fat.

HCG is not a hormone, it is a complex molecule that contains over 300 aminopeptides. It is found in every human tissue in males and females. Its primary purpose appears to be protecting an embryo from being rejected.

The embryo is genetically 50% from the father so there is a risk the maternal body will see it as foreign. A miscarriage would be the result of this fetus rejection without hCG.

HCG performs many other functions in the body, some well documented such as its affect on the hypothalamus in weight loss. Research is ongoing into other benefits of hCG.

Tips for Maximizing your Weight Loss While on an Hcg Diet

by Dr. Dennis Clark

“When going on an HCG diet, there are several steps you can take to help maximize the effects of the hormone so you can get the best results possible. In addition to following the low calorie diet, adding in these simple strategies will help you experience some great results while keeping your body as healthy as possible.

• Take a multivitamin every day. That way, you can be certain your body is receiving all of the nutrients it needs each day.

• Add exercise to your routine. You don’t need to kill yourself at the gym every day. Rather, simply adding 15 minutes of cardio activity to your routine can help to further boost your metabolism and increase the amount of weight you lose.

• Drink eight 8 ounce glasses of water each day. Drinking plenty of water each day helps to cleanse your body and further helps to suppress your appetite.

• Consume 30 grams of fiber each day. Whether you get it through your food or through supplements or capsules, fiber will help your digestive system work more efficiently.

In addition to these simple extra eating habits, there are some behavioral habits that you can change as well. For example, if you are having a hard time fighting the temptation to eat foods that are not on your diet plan, you might want to consider ordering your food from a grocery delivery service. This way, you can order the food on the Internet and have it delivered directly to your house so you never have to step foot in a grocery store.

There is a great deal of evidence to suggest that eating an organic diet is also beneficial when it comes to losing weight. Not only will this help to increase the number of pounds you burn, it is also far healthier to follow an organic diet because you won’t be consuming preservatives and artificial additives.

You should also be sure to plan your meals wisely. It is always a bad idea to eat when it is close to bedtime. This is because your body has a tendency to store fat while you sleep. Therefore, try to eat your last meal for the day more than three hours before going to bed. If you go to bed on an empty stomach, you won’t have to worry about your body storing that extra fat.

By adding these extra steps, you can increase the amount of weight you lose from just half a pound per day to two or even three pounds. In addition, since the HCG helps to contour your body, you won’t have to worry about unsightly skin flaps developing as the result of such rapid weight loss.”

Weight Loss 101: Eating on an Hcg Diet

by Dr. Dennis Clark

“If you are interested in losing weight with HCG hormone therapy, it is important that you also follow a special diet as well. By combining a low calorie diet with your hormone therapy, you will be able to obtain the greatest benefits from this weight loss program.

Reducing Your Caloric Intake

In order to follow the HCG diet correctly, you will need to reduce your caloric intake to just 500 calories per day. Obviously, you would be able to lose weight with a 500 calorie diet even if you weren’t getting HCG hormone treatments. If you cut back to this many calories without the help of HCG, however, you will likely lose muscle as well as fat. Obviously, this isn’t healthy and will not result in a toned body.

HCG helps to prevent the loss of muscle as you reduce our caloric intake. In addition, HCG makes it easier for you to cut back to this many calories because it acts as an appetite suppressant. During the first few days of the program, you might experience mild hunger after reducing your food consumption. By the second week, however, most people find small servings of food to be quite satisfying. This is partially because the HCG helps to release calories from your stored fat and these calories then circulate throughout your body. In addition, your hypothalamus makes adjustments to your metabolic rate, which helps you feel full faster.

The Diet Plan

There have been some changes made to the basic diet plan recommended to those on the HCG diet, but the original diet plan is as follows:

• Eat nothing for breakfast. You may drink tea or coffee, but it cannot include sugar and you can only have up to one tablespoon full of milk within a 24 hour period. You may use Stevia or Saccharin.

• Lunch consists of 100 grams of either veal, chicken breast, beef, lobster, fresh white fish, shrimp, or crab. All fat must be removed before cooing the meat and it must be weighed while in its raw state. It must be cooked through grilling or boiling and without any added fat. This meat is to be accompanied by one vegetable. You can choose from the following vegetables:

o Asparagus

o Beet-greens

o Cabbage

o Celery

o Chard

o Chicory

o Cucumbers

o Fennel

o Green salad

o Onions

o Red radishes

o Spinach

o Tomatoes

Lunch also consists of one piece of Melba toast or one grissino breadstick as well as an orange, an apple, one half of a grapefruit, or a handful of strawberries.

• Dinner is the same as lunch, though you are encouraged to mix and match the meats, vegetables, and fruit you choose for each meal.

Other diet plans have been introduced since the original, namely those that revolve around eating all organic foods. Therefore, it would be a good idea to read about other diet plans in order to determine which one you think will be best for you.”

Safety Issues Associated With an Hcg Diet

by Dr. Dennis Clark

“HCG is a hormone that is naturally produced by the placenta when a woman is pregnant. The fact that the hormone is naturally occurring, however, does not necessarily mean that it is safe to use. After all, tumors occur naturally within the body as well – and no one wants to have a tumor in his or her body. Therefore, if you are considering using HCG to help you with weight loss, one of your concerns will likely be whether or not the hormone is safe to use.

HCG and Fertility Treatments

HCG has long been used by doctors to help women that are experiencing fertility issues or other hormonal problems. As such, it has been deemed both safe and effective to use for this purpose.

Unfortunately, the FDA still has not approved HCG for use as a weight loss aid. As with all alternative forms of treatment, the FDA has not been able to find enough substantial evidence through its research to indicate that HCG is effective as a weight loss aid. On the other hand, thousands of people have used HCG and have successfully lost large amounts of weight in a short amount of time.

For women using HCG for fertility treatment, there are some potential side effects. Namely, women using HCG for fertility issues have reported experiencing occasional headaches as well as experiencing symptoms that are commonly associated with pregnancy. For patients using HCG for weight loss, however, these side effects are even rarer because the amount of HCG used is significantly less than that used for fertility purposes.

The HCG Diet Plan

Another potential source of concern when following an HCG diet is the actual diet plan. In order to follow the HCG plan to its fullest, you are also supposed to maintain a diet of 500 calories per day. Although following a diet with such a small amount of calories would normally be considered unhealthy, it is safe to do while also receiving HCG injections. This is because HCG helps prevent the loss of muscle mass. It also helps dieters retain a high level of energy while suppressing the appetite. Therefore, while it generally would not be considered safe to follow a diet with so few calories, doing so while also receiving the HCG injection is both safe and effective as a weight loss strategy.

If you are going to use HCG to help you lose weight, it is important that you follow the diet protocol properly. In this way, you will have the greatest amount of success with our weight loss program while also keeping yourself safe and your body healthy.”
