Leptin and Fat Loss During the HCG Diet

by Dr. Dennis Clark

Leptin is the Master Fat Hormone, and it works by signaling the hypothalamus of the brain. The questions for fat loss now under study are starting to look at how leptin and HCG interact. The idea is that they may be using the same or similar brain receptors. It is a great topic for understanding more about how HCG works.

HCG Diets and Weight Loss

by Dr. Dennis Clark

HCG diets are not exactly new, but they are becoming more and more popular as they people continue to report success stories of weight loss from following the diets. HCG sales have taken off online as well in doctor’s offices across the world. More and more people are getting interested in actually losing their weight and they are turning toward HCG diets.

What is HCG?HCG is an acronym for Human Chorionic Gonadotropin, which is a natural chemical that is made in humans. Both men and women have HCG in their tissues, but it is most prevelent in pregnant woman. It is the hormone that causes a woman to register pregnant on pregnancy tests as it is found in the urine. People are born with HCG in their body and it helps to develop the reproductive organs, but is also works with the hypothalamus to help regulate a person’s body fat.

Why HCG Diets For Weight Loss?A British endocrinologist named Dr. Simeons came up with a low calorie HCG diet that he found to be effective for weight loss and controlling obesity in people. While studying pregnant women and overweight boys in India that were being treated with a low dose of HCG for pituitary problems, he noticed that they were losing fat, not muscle, on the diet. He came up with the medical conclusion that the low doses of the hormone were enough to help the hypothalamus regulate the burning of stored fat cells in the body. He came up with a 500 calorie diet that goes along with regular doses of HCG that significantly showed great results for weight loss when followed properly.

The way that HCG diets work is that the low dose of the hormone stimulates the body to burn the stored fat cells that are hard to get rid of with exercise and healthy eating. Normally, without HCG supplements, the body will use the food that was just eaten for energy for the body. When HCG is taken, it used the stored fat first, making it possible to lose weight rather quickly. Dr. Simeons study showed that people could easily lose one to two pounds in a day on HCG diets.

Just like any other diet, before starting a HCG diet talk to your physician about your weight loss. If you really want to learn more about HCG diets, find doctors in your area that approve and endorse these types of diets. Then you can have all the information that you need to buy your HCG supplements and start your journey of losing weight with HCG diets.

Who Wants to Be Fat? How Fattening Diets Can Help You Lose Fat

by Dr. Dennis Clark

Scientific research and explanations for weight gain and obesity reach back more than a century. Based on this research, modern advice on how to combat fat gain is almost entirely wrong. Diet and exercise are ineffective, no matter what your doctor or other uninformed experts tell you.

FATTENING DIETS TO THE RESCUE

To address the promise of the title of this article, fattening diets are instructive because they tell us how people get fat when they want to. This means that, theoretically, you can do the opposite and get slim. Of course, nothing is that simple. Nevertheless, this will point you in the right direction. I will first explain how to get fat, and then I will suggest how you can use this information to lose fat and never get fat again.

FATTENING DIETS OF SUMO WRESTLERS

Champion sumo wrestlers of Japan have to get fat and stay that way. They attain a typical weight of more than 300 pounds by their early twenties. The most comprehensive English-language research article on this topic was published by Tsuneo Nishizawa in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition in 1976.

Nishizawa reported that the elite group of sumo wrestlers consumed on average almost 5,500 calories worth of pork stew every day. This stew consisted of 780 grams of carbohydrate, 100 grams of fat, and 365 grams of protein. The second tier of wrestlers averaged 5,120 calories per day – based on 1,000 grams of carbohydrates, 165 grams of protein, and 50 grams of fat. This second group weighed as much as the first, although they were significantly fatter and less muscular.

The elite group averaged 57 percent of their calories in carbohydrates and 16 percent in fat. The second group averaged 80 percent of their calories in carbohydrates and 9 percent in fat. Regarding fat, both are considerably below what most public health authorities in America would refer to as a low-fat diet.

The message is that pathological obesity in young men in their prime is caused by a very low-fat, high-carbohydrate diet. Now ask yourself, does this resemble anything like your diet?

FATTENING DIETS OF AFRICAN ROYALTY

This goes back much further into history. In 1857, European explorers reported that Abysinnian nobility in West Africa followed the custom of fattening their wives to such an extent that could not stand upright. A typical beauty would reach immense size, measured as a 52-inch chest, 24-inch arms, and 30-inch thighs.

On hindsight, the fattening diet of these women consisted of at least 1,000 extra calories per day in carbohydrate, and often more. That’s it. Think about this for a moment regarding dietary habits of modern Americans. What would it take to add 1,000 extra calories per day of carbohydrates if you just consider bread, tortillas, bagel, cookies and cakes, crackers, chips, and sodas? One and half Big Gulps alone would be 1,000 calories!

THE OBVIOUS TAKE-HOME LESSON

Avoid carbohydrates unless you WANT to get fat!

Specifically, avoid carbs that come packaged in nutritionally-deficient foods. Avoid white foods in general. This does not mean fruits and vegetables. It means starchy or processed foods that give you carbs and almost nothing else. The negative impact of these foods is huge.

By the way, diet foods and drinks that are sweetened with artificial sweeteners do not help. Some are so toxic that they should never have been approved for human consumption. That’s a topic for another day. I suggest you do some serious research on them, and I strongly recommend that you avoid them completely. Sugar-free sweet foods and drinks will kill you faster than a high-carb diet will.

WHY THIS IS SIMPLE-MINDED ADVICE

Fine, avoiding high-carb foods will keep you from getting fat. However, if you are already fat, it is more than likely that this strategy will not be sufficient for slimming down and staying slim. The main reason is that, once you are fat, you have already developed a tremendous imbalance in several kinds of hormones. The most important ones are the steroid hormones (specifically estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone – for men and women alike) and the protein hormones that include human growth hormone, leptin, and insulin, among others.

The fundamental reason that weight loss diets have such a high failure rate is that they do not address the underlying hormone imbalance that keeps you fat and that gets you fat again on the rebound from prior weight loss. By the way, exercise will also fail for the same reason. Once you have a fat person’s metabolism, you will continue to have a fat person’s metabolism – even if you have lost weight – when your hormones are imbalanced.

All the best in natural health,

Dr. D

Natural Supplements: Losing Weight Safely with hCG

by Dr. Dennis Clark

A large percentage of Americans are dealing with extra weight. In fact, many experts feel that obesity is a national crisis that must be addressed at a high level. As a result, researchers have been actively trying to find an answer to this crisis that will help people safely and naturally shed those extra pounds. One natural supplement that has become a shining beacon of hope is hCG.
Candidates for hCG
Although hCG is most widely recognized for being a hormone produced by the placenta of pregnant women, it is actually found in all human tissue. Therefore, whether you are a man or a woman, hCG is safe for you to use in order to lose weight. This means that nearly any overweight man or woman is a good candidate for this natural supplement, though it is still best to consult with a physician before starting a diet with the help of hCG. Of course, if you are a pregnant or nursing woman, you will not be able to receive hCG shot. After your pregnancy or when you are no longer nursing, however, you can use hCG to help you return to your proper weight.
Exploring Side Effects of hCG
Since hCG is a naturally-occurring hormone, side effects of its use are rare. Whether you are using the hCG shots or taking the supplement orally, you likely will not experience side effects when taking it for weight loss. Those women that take hCG for fertility reasons may experience occasional headaches or pregnancy symptoms, but you do not take the same dosage of the medication when taking it for weight loss. Therefore, you are unlikely to experience these symptoms.
Ceasing the Use of hCG
Unlike most fad weight loss plans, you will not have to worry about regaining the weight when you stop using hCG. After using hCG, most people find that their appetites and eating behaviors have changed. In addition, hCG will help to regulate your metabolism, which will help you get that “full” feeling after eating just a moderate amount. Therefore, by exercising for just 15 minutes per day and eating a healthy diet, you should be able to maintain your new weight.
Using hCG is perfectly legal and safe to use. Therefore, if you are struggling with those extra pounds that you just can’t seem to lose, it is certainly worth your while to look into using hCG to finally get that body you have always dreamed of having.

Hcg for Weight Loss

by Dr. Dennis Clark

The use of hCG for weight loss is once again gaining momentum with the help of 7 millions sales of Kevin Trudeau’s latest book, “The Weight Loss Cure.” Dozens of new websites including hCG Diet Info (www.hcgdietinfo.com) and numerous sub-sites to weight clinics and weight loss practitioners are springing up almost overnight. According to the editor of the hCG Diet Info website, their traffic levels have gone from a few dozen hits a week to several thousand a day almost immediately following Kevin Trudeau’s nightly infomercials.
Fact or Fad? Well, the jury is still out. hCG manufacturers declare that the hCG fertility drugs such as Pregnyl which are described in Trudeau’s book, have no effect regarding weight loss. On the other hand, long-term weight loss professionals and physicians offer thousands of hcg diet success stories. Research and reviews are posted on Dr. Belluscio’s website, hCG Obesity (www.hcgobesity.org) who also happened to have developed the highly demanded oral hCG pills.
The hCG weight loss protocol is declared to not only help an individual lose weight regardless if the dieter uses hCG injections or pills, but to perform a metabolic recovery, where the hypothyroid is said to be reset, boosting the metabolism and increasing the person’s ability to burn fat at a much higher rate. hCG is also said to break down body fat, causing rapid weight loss by mass even before registering on a scale. Simultaneously, it is said to protect the endogenous fat and muscle which the body needs to stay healthy, but also avoiding sagging and loose skin known of excessive of weight loss.
The debate amongst practitioners of these protocols argues that the original hCG diet protocol developed by Dr. A.T.W. Simeons should not be modified, as suggested by many, including Kevin Trudeau. However, thousands of dieters are following Trudeau’s advice, finding little wrong with adding large amounts of tea and organic foods to their menu as opposed to the extremely strict 500 calorie diet described in Dr. Simeons manuscript, “Pounds and Inches” (can be found at www.hcgdietinfo.com for free.) Dr. Belluscio, a devoted follower of the Dr. Simeons hcg diet protocol, reminds dieters of the extensive research that went into Dr. ATW Simeons work.
Claims of the diet being unhealthy are plenty, with questions on the use of natural hCG and the fact that it’s produced from the urine of pregnant women- however, most hCG on the market such as Pregnyl is actually synthetic. In addition, concerns that a 500 calorie diet is stressful to the body and specifically on the muscle tissue of the heart, are met with the explanation that the fat being burnt releases thousands of calories into the system before being expelled.
Regardless of these issues, hCG sales are spiking- not only for the substance itself but for related information and supplies. Unfortunately, along with this comes fraud- particularly from faux websites claiming to sell hCG and other prescription drugs. A warning from hCG Diet Info was released recently, after the editor was contacted by a woman who had wired $500 US Dollars through Western Union to a website claiming to be an overseas pharmacy offering hCG but never heard from them again. To avoid this, hCG Diet Info strongly advises hCG dieters to seek their hCG treatment through a nearby provider but if purchasing hCG on the internet, they warn individuals not to wire money via Western Union and to request reviews of sites before making a purchase.

Weight Loss: a History of the Hcg Diet

by Dr. Dennis Clark

“Although the HCG diet has been receiving a great deal of attention lately, it actually is not a new concept. In fact, the use of HCG as a diet aid was first discussed in a report that Dr. A.T.W. Simeons published in 1954. The report did gain some attention at that time, but it took several years before the use of HCG with dieting really started to catch on. Today, an increasing number of dieters are turning to HCG to help them lose those unwanted pounds.

About Dr. Simeons

Dr. Simeons, who was a British physician, is credited with having first discovered the use of HCG for weight loss. While practicing medicine in Rome, he devoted many years to the study of obesity and ultimately published his report extolling the benefits of HCG in 1954.

Dr. Simeons was mostly impressed by HCG because it could be paired with a low calorie diet without causing the same side effects commonly associated with low calorie diets. For example, Dr. Simeons noticed that his patients could drastically reduce their caloric intake without experiencing irritability, hunger pains, headaches, or weakness while also taking HCG.

As Dr. Simeons continued is research, he found that an HCG injection did more than just help his patients lose weight. In fact, he found that the injections also helped to naturally reshape his patient’s bodies even if they did not engage in exercise while on the diet. Dr. Simeons concluded that this was because the patients lost their fat tissue from adipose tissue accumulations, which made changes in the body shape more visible.

HCG Today

Today, HCG is still recognized by many weight loss clinics for its abilities to help patients lose dramatic amounts of weight. Although HCG is still not recognized by the FDA as a weight loss treatment, the FDA has determined that it is a safe drug to use.

The basic concept behind using HCG to aid in weight loss remains much the same as it was with Dr. Simeons’s initial studies, but it was recently taken to a whole new level with Kevin Trudeau’s best selling book entitled “The Weight Loss Cures ‘They’ Don’t Want You to Know About.” According to Trudeau, the effectiveness of HCG can be further enhanced by eating a diet that consists of 100% organic foods. Trudeau’s plan also calls for implementing herbal supplements as well as vitamins to help improve the overall health of the body.

Although HCG has been around as a weight loss aid for over 50 years, it took Trudeau’s book to help spark new interest in its use. A great deal of controversy still surrounds HCG and whether or not it is effective at helping people lose weight. Nonetheless, there are many anecdotal records from people claiming that the injection changed their lives.”
