More than 19,000 research articles have been published about HCG since 1975. Most of these have nothing to do with weight loss. The key research of greatest importance for weight management is linked to the master fat hormone, leptin.
PubMed Summary
Research involves the molecular biology of HCG and its role in hundreds of different aspects of human physiology. Much of it is based on studies of laboratory animals. The 19,000-plus articles cover all aspects of this hormone to date, as listed in PubMed, the federal government’s public medical database scientific research on all health topics.
HCG Weight Loss Research
The research to date on HCG and weight loss still hovers around 80 articles. There is not much new here, especially regarding clinical experimentation.
HCG and Leptin
The HCG-leptin link continues to grow, so once in a while I take a look at PubMed using the combined search on these two terms. At the moment, the results yield 64 research articles. A quick glance at the titles on this list shows the research to be on a wide variety of subtopics. Rather than summarize them, or even the key ones at this time, I thought I’d simply download all of the abstracts and make them available to you in a single document (i.e., a pdf file).
This document is available to the public here: Pubmed Search on HCG and Leptin.
You will note that this is a listing of the research abstracts, and that they are loaded with jargon. That is because they are written for other scientists. Some of the jargon is over my head. Nevertheless, you might want to take a look to see what is going on with this subject. It is a topic that is increasing in importance, in spite of the denial by mainstream medicine that HCG has anything to do with weight loss.
Stay tuned!
All the best,
Dr. D
