Here is one quote that I found on the internet today, without a link to the offending website (no need to cause embarrassment):
Apple day consists of eating nothing but apples for one day. You eat 6 large apples and drink water all day. That’s it. No other fruit, no vegetables, or protein.
What is wrong with this advice? Let’s take a look at exactly what Dr. Simeons said, in the following statement from the 1971 revision of his book, “Pounds and Inches” … and see where the critical error lies:
This is pretty simple and clear, so I don’t understand why it gets so twisted by well-meaning yet uninformed ‘experts’ on the internet. As a help, I’ve highlighted the relevant parts in red.
The idea is to reduce excess fluid build-up!
Eat only apples, and drink as little water as possible!
