Take a look at this video and comment if you can help Shana. I already did so. She would clearly benefit from a steak and apple day TODAY! Share you experience with her. She needs help and has apparently lost confidence in her doctor. She has retained too much food in her system, and therefore too much water to keep it from becoming sludge. My guess is that she is also constipated. Any suggestions for her?

Dear Shana, I feel your pain. I also finished P2 on May 23 and found the next three weeks terrible. I never had so many cravings even before I knew hcg. My husband and I both lost 33 pounds in 43 days and felt great. Now I can’t wait to get back to it. Everyone I speak to in the hcg community says ‘do not restart too quickly’. Like you I am afraid to develop immunity to it. Good luck and keep us posted on how you’re doing.

    Shana,
You are smart to pay close attention to what you are eating each day. In fact if you are not already I would suggest you keep a journal of what you are eating. Your body might have a reaction to specific foods on phase 3. For me it was peanuts. Every time I ate peanuts without fail I would have a 2 lb or more weight gain the next day and would have to do a steak day. This could be one of the reasons Dr. Simeons was so serious about weighing yourself every morning. Pay attention to those foods that might trigger a weight gain for you. I believe Dr. Clark had a reccomended list of foods for phase 3. It sounded like a great list and I will definately follow that list when I do the protocol again. As for starting the protocol sooner than six weeks. I personally wouldn’t reccomend it. If you do build up immunity you will likely get discouraged when your body stops losing and you suddenly feel famished and want to eat more than 500 calories. It would be a waste of product and time if that should happen. Be patient. You’re beautiful! Hang in there and good luck!

    Hi Shana,
The reason your weight is up today is because of your wonderful, exhilerating but strenuous hike yesterday. The breakdown of your muscle fibres produces myogloben which forces your body to retain water in order to deal with this by-product. Drink lots of water. Make sure your mineral levels are good but don’t add extra potassium or sodium. It is an amazing and perfect living organism and is taking perfect care of you on every level. Trust it. In a couple of days, everything will be back to normal.
I know how much you must want to get back on the protocol but don’t be in a rush. Your body has a lot of work to do and the stabilization period is very important. Dr. Simeon was very clear about the need to wait. The protocol works so well and will give you the results you are looking for – and those results include permanent weight loss but only if you do all of the phases correctly.
The body is doing an extreme makeover on every level. Part of that is bringing the hormone levels (like insulin, leptin and adiponectin) back to normal and having your body become sensitive to their signals again. I believe that is part of what is happening during your six week break.
Let me know how it goes.
    Sandi
